Sugar Free Jams, Jellies and Fruit Butters: These items are sweetened exclusively with all natural apple cider or grape juice concentrate with no added sugars or sugar substitutes.

*For All our Sugar Free Candy Products:These are not reduced calorie foods. These candies may be useful in your diet on the advice of a physician. Excessive consumption may have a laxitive effect. Consumption levels vary among individuals. Please consult your physician who will be familiar with your medical history and treatment.

*Product Specs for Sugar Free Chocolates other than Fudge: Sugar Alcohols are bulking agents which are commonly used to replace any sugar in our standard products. The are commonly known  as polyols. They include the following: Isomalt, lactitol, manitol, maltitol, sorbitol, and xylitol. Maltitol is the prominant sugar alcohol used in our sugar free chocolates. Also, maltitol syrup, a derivitive of maltitol, and sorbitol are used in our enrobed chocolates. you should request a copy of the product specifications for the products in question. These sugar substitutes have similar properties to their sugar counterparts. Therefore they function like thier sugar counterparts in confectionary applications, such as, chocolate making and hard candy production. Sugar alcohols can provide sweetness and texture.     Although the FDA recently announced that it would not object to the caloric reduction of sugar alcohols, we will maintain that the caloric value of all sugar alcohols used in our products is 4 calories per gram.
    General Ingredients (please call for specific ingredients for specific products) (not all ingredients will be in all products):Maltitol or Maltitol syrup, Peanut butter, cocoa butter, sodium caseinate, chocolate, cocoa processed with alkali, fractionated palm kernal oil, milkfat, soya lecthin (an emulsifier), acesulfame potassium, and natural and artificial flavors.

*Product Specs for Sucrose Free Fudge: Ingredients- Isomalt, fructose, butter, partially hydrogenated palm kernal oil with lecithin, cocoa, chocolate liquor, food starch modified, salt, natural and artificial flavoring and nuts (if nut fudge). Fructose is a naturally ocurring sweetener found in fruit. In diabetics who have adequate insulin available, fructose causes a slower rise in blood sugar glucose levels than other simple sugars. Althought this nutritive sweetener is more slowly digested  and absorbed than sucrose containing sugars, it still contains calories and must be counted in the diabetic meal plan. Isomalt is a fairly new polyol, or sugar substitute. It does not produce sharp increases in blood sugar or insulin levels. this product may be useful in your diet in the advice of a physician. This food is not a calorie reduced food. Excessive comsumption may have a laxative effect. Please contact your physician for advise on the suitability of these sugar substitutes in your diet.

*Product Specs for Sugar Free Hard Candies: Our sugar free hard candies are sweetened with Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, or Hystar derived from corn. Hystar is a slow polyol carbohydrate, with a primary metabolic path that is independent of insulin. Diabetics should consult with thier physician before adding any new product to their diet. Excessive consumption of these hard candies may produce a laxative effect in some persons. Our sugar free hard candies also are lactose free by the substitution of a natural milk protien calcium caseinate for milk.
